Mathias Becquaert received the M.Eng. degree, option telecommunications from the Royal Military Academy in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2017. He was a Signal Officer with the Army for three years. He was research and teaching assistant in the domain of sensors and signal processing. Since 2021, he is an Associate Professor with the Department of Communication Information Systems and Sensors. His current research interests include Cognitive Radio, Satellite Communications, RF detection and classification of UAV and 5G/6G.
